About Me
I'm Tim de Klijn, 35, and I live in Utrecht. I work for Dataworkz, a company with Data professionals. Currently I am helping the Port of Rotterdam with automating their asset management and inspection using AI.
After my PhD in chemistry I started working as a data scientist at Sogeti. There I've done projects for ABN, Aegon, Philips, ASML as well as some internal deep learning projects. At DataWorkz I have been working with deep learning models to analyse camera footage to automate asset management. I have trained several object detection and segmentation models and created video processing pipelines.
When I'm not working, I like to ride my racing bike. I go to craftbeer and music festivals so if we're finished talking about deep learning, let's discuss and drink some nice beers!

This 3 hour session is about giving participants insight in a basic understanding of deep learning.
Skills
I like to make use of machine learning to solve problems. A machine learning model that is not in production does not add value.
